Aguila Capital is a US based investment advisory firm that provides growth capital and growth advisory services to its portfolio companies in the United Kingdom. We’ve been in business since 2012 and have helped businesses scale and grow tenfold. We are actively looking to make new investments in founder led agencies that specialize in a few key areas.
Who We Work With
Customer Experience Design Agencies
We are looking to work with customer experience design agencies that have expertise with Sitecore and Adobe and are looking to accelerate growth and drive business forward.
E-Commerce Agencies
E-commerce agencies that have in depth-expertise with platforms such as Magento and Shopify make up a great deal of our portfolio companies.
Software Services Firms
We look to invest in Software Services firms in the UK and Europe with an established and capable team in place.
Operating Methodology
Aguila would typically take an equity position of 45 – 55% in the agency, we want the founding team to have significant equity in the business and continue to run the business. We rarely do outright acquisitions but on occasion will consider such a transaction with an earnout for the founding team.
Our goal is to increase the enterprise value of our portfolio companies. Our investments remain discreet and while we take a board seat, we allow the founding team to retain complete operational autonomy. Unlike typical private equity, we take a long-term horizon of our investments and do not try and force an exit in the typical 3- 5-year period.
Growth-Oriented
The focus is always on growth. We have been in business since 2012 and several of our portfolio companies have growth by over 10X.
